- We get to put seeds in dirt and grow little baby plants. Who doesn’t love babies?
- We get to dig in the dirt and play in the mud, even though we’re adults.
- When we say “fresh,” we mean fresh – zero miles traveled to our table.
- Everything we grow tastes better than anything we can buy in the store.
- Weeding is meditative and so satisfying when you’re done.
- We grow varieties that no one ever sells in local markets.
- We get to share our extras with neighbors and friends.
- We attract all kinds of pollinators to the yard. Some plants are covered with dozens of bees that buzz loud enough so the plants almost vibrate as you walk by.
- A fresh strawberry from the garden, picked in the early morning sunshine, tastes better than any strawberry that comes from the supermarket in a plastic carton.
- We get to thumb our noses at Big Food and Big Ag!
