Allan Savory argues that while livestock may be part of the problem, they can also be an important part of the solution. He has demonstrated time and again in Africa, Australia and North and South America that, properly managed, they are essential to land restoration. With the right techniques, plant growth is lusher, the water table is higher, wildlife thrives, soil carbon increases and, surprisingly, perhaps four times as many cattle can be kept.
In nearly 4 years of intensive self study, this is the most important big picture lecture I have ever seen. Not only that, but the video is extremely well done and leads inexorably to the mind bending conclusions that Allan Savory advocates, not only advocates, but ACCOMPLISHES on his own land and the lands of others. Thought, concept and right action as a perfect storm of climate and soil healing accomplished in only a few seasons of management. I am blown away!
